Our Community

“We believe that architecture should reflect a social conscience, we take every day as a chance to make a difference for others.”

Our team gives back to our community by donating and recycling material, rendering free design and build services, and supporting local community events. We have a commitment to the healthy growth of the communities where we build and we’re always ready for the next chance to make a difference. These are current and past recipients of our support:

Material Donations

AV Architects + Builders donates building materials, furniture, and/or appliances to Habitat for Humanity for their Habitat ReStore program. We also donate material to Second Chance, which provides people in need with human resources and materials for a second chance.

Philanthropic Activities

Francisca Alonso has supported St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital for many years. She was a committee member for the 2014 St. Jude’s Annual Heart of Fashion.  We are supporters of Women Giving Back, a  core group of professionals with the goal to supplement HomeAid Northern Virginia work.

Local Support

Av Architects + Builders’ team support the Great Falls community.  In 2014, our team renovated the teacher’s lounge kitchen for Forestville Elementary School.  In 2015 we are supporting Celebrate Great Falls, leading the development of the community where our offices are today; and the MPAartfest in McLean, teaching children and adults about “Art and Architecture”.
